About SEO’Brien
SEO. A significant learning experience for me in regard to branding and identity. Here I am, being creative and excited with my brilliant play on words and SEO’Brien instead connotates one of two things (or both) to people 1. My name is Brian 2. The blog is about SEO. The first is untrue and the later incomplete.
As a paid search, SEO, online and affiliate marketing, web design & e-commerce professional with over 15 years online, I needed more from life and felt the best way to do that was to let my brain dump online in hopes of being of value to someone. At the same time, this is not only a branding education for me but gives me an opportunity to learn from you through comment and criticism of my ideas as well as personal experience with html, css, design, and other development concepts.
My writing style is conversational, filled with divergences as I interject random thoughts and ideas (did you know I’m a huge Beatles fan?) but, I’m highly analytical with a proven ability to generate revenue through win/win negotiating and solution based strategies. I think my solid project and team management skills and ability to plan strategically and execute tactically are reflected in my topics ranging from broad strategy to detailed execution guides. As a skilled web designer with user experience insight, technical know how, and forethought for best practices, I also like to share perspective on the implications, possibilities, and options to you as a marketer, designer, engineer, or business owner.
The blog is generally about Online Marketing because I fundamentally believe that we are not search marketing experts, SEOs, affiliate managers, flashy banner advertisers, or e-commerce professionals. The best online marketers are familiar with brand advertising as well as direct response and performance based expectations so expertise in all aspects of online advertising are key. Advanced experience and success in portfolio marketing, behavioral/Geo/Demo targeting, and purchase process/cycle optimization round out those core program concepts allowing to market strategically, leverage technology, and build relationships to create profitable, scalable marketing programs.
