Setting up a home network

December 22, 2005 |

Hack Attack: Take your data home for the holidays - Lifehacker:

As I prepare to leave my warm desk at Lifehacker-LA for the blustery cold of the great Midwest, I want to make sure that I can still access my home computer at any time, in any way, so that my work is just as accessible on the road as it is at home.

On Del.icio.us:
Setting up a home network is difficult, understanding accesses, ports, security, logins, routers, ftp, http…. and the list goes on…., and can be confusing. This article is tremendous in helping an idiot computer user get on to his computer from a remote location. Access files on your computer from work, on vacation, from your mom’s house. This is like “remote access for dummies”
